To apply for the IGEFA scholarship, you must:

Be a full-time student in Armenia
Have demonstrated excellence for the last academic year 2022-2023 (3.0 GPA or higher, 3.0 GPA is equivalent to 85% on a percentile scale, an exception will be made to those who participated in the 2020 Artsakh war)
Have to commit to graduation from the same university or school within the required period
Be willing to participate/volunteer for IGEFA’s projects in Armenia
Submit a copy of your Academic record book by email: igefafundsf@gmail.com
Submit your personal statement (maximum one page) indicating your qualities that illustrate the reason to be chosen to receive a scholarship, special circumstances, your interests, and future goals.
Answer all the questions, sign, and date the form

Submit this application form with other required documents to the attention of the IGEFA board by July 1st, 2026

Note: priority will be given to those who have served, and to family members of killed, wounded soldiers, and veterans

IGEFA Educational, Cultural & Human Services Grant

About This Grant

IGEFA’s mission is to support academic and cultural institutions, improve the quality of education, and encourage civil society in Armenia by providing state-of-the-art professional development in human services to a broad spectrum of groups across the private, health, and education sectors.

IGEFA offers grants of up to $1500 to support programs and projects that enrich communities through education, culture, the arts, and human services.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for funding from IGEFA:

Eligible Project Types: Education, Culture, and Human Services

Projects must serve a clear public benefit and align with one or more of the following:

Community education programs and workshops

Cultural heritage, language, and preservation initiatives

Youth enrichment and after-school programs

Programs supporting underserved or vulnerable populations

Community outreach and resource access initiatives

Services promoting well-being, stability, and social support for underserved or vulnerable populations

Eligible Applicants

We welcome applications from organizations and groups working in education, culture, arts, and human services, including:

501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations

Schools, colleges, and universities

Cultural institutions

Community-based organizations

Human services providers offering community support programs
