Having set its mission and goal to support academic and cultural institutions and to help to improve the quality of higher education in Armenia, especially in the humanities and fundamental sciences, over the years IGEFA successfully launched several projects in Armenia, some of them ongoing, some – completed.
The list of organizations IGEFA established partnerships includes American University of Armenia, Yerevan State University, Academy of Arts, Conservatory of Music, European, French and Medical Universities, and many others.
Over the years, IGEFA provided scholarships and grants to more than 200 students pursuing higher education, sponsored libraries and provided equipment to schools and colleges, provided faculty training, and facilitated continuing education seminars, especially notable in the areas of mental health and domestic violence.
Other projects include Writer’s Union Award, sponsoring Summer Camp for Diabetic Children, providing supplies and equipment for Gyumri Art school and establishing computer Lab at the Children’s Aesthetic Center in Gyumri, where students now learn computer graphics and design.
IGEFA has teamed with several Armenian and US hi-tech companies in Armenia:Mentor Graphics, Ponte Solutions, Instigate and TUMO. The Real School – IGEFA association is not new. We have cooperated in the past in providing tech support and assistance with equipment in Gyumri Art school.
